This is my go to place in my neighborhood. The bread and their baked products are great! The quality is consistent, it's always something you can trust you will enjoy. There is something special about smelling fresh baked and seeing them work while you wait. Im so glad it's in my neighborhood. It's worth getting up early and buying one of their baguettes, and have a well made coffee while you at it. You usually have to wait in line, but it moves fast, and you can entertain your eyes and mind, battling that overwhelming feeling that everything is so good, you want to order it all! LOL. Anything you pick is great, and the place is addictive, you'll definitely want to come back!

Madruga Bakery has been consistently wonderful for years. They have cemented their place as an excellent establishment in Miami. You can easily identify that every item is made with love & fresh ingredients. My favorites are the Porridge, the Serrano Sandwich, & their Chocolate Chip Cookie. All are simply made & always delicious. I appreciate that their kitchen is always full of staff that you can tell are working hard to provide great food. Even though I have experienced long lines at times, I have always been greeted with a friendly smile & have experienced excellent service. I only wish they had a larger space to accommodate more seating.

I've been a fan of Madruga Bakery when I tried their flourless chocolate pecan cookies. And I've always loved it and recommended it to everybody. In my recent visit, we got to the counter to select our food items, we noticed flies and biscuit beetles around the food counter and landing on top of the open food items. Although they had two fly fans, I would say they needed two more. Ambiance: The bakery is small and the ambiance is not bad. It's usually very crowded no matter what time you go, which is unfortunate.

Madruga Bakery is so good, I'd go here again and again if I lived in Miami (I live about an hour north in Delray Beach). I love it when you walk into a bakery and you can see bakers baking in the kitchen (which is open to the entire public and store front). We ordered the lemon poppy seed muffin, and grain porridge which was much better than it sounds with peanut butter and jelly floating on top of the porridge, adorned with strawberries. We had the bacon quiche and two amazing coffee drinks. It was crowded on a stormy Saturday, but most people were able to get seats as the turnover is pretty quick.

Have been to madruga bakery quite a few times now and their food never disappoints. If you're coming on the weekend expect a line out the door. Thankfully it moves pretty quickly. Have ordered online for pick up and usually end up waiting so either option is probably the same wait time. My go to is usually the egg sandwich with a vanilla iced coffee. Their sandwich is so good. Have picked it up and headed to the beach and the bacon is still crunchy! Not sure what they do but it's amazing. I usually pair it with a cookie chip cookie. One of the better cookies I've had in Miami. I will say their iced coffee is light on the sweetener. During my last visit I asked the barista for a bit more vanilla simple syrup and he gave me a hard time about it. He said I had to pay extra when I already paid for the vanilla latte up charge at the register. I think if I want it a bit sweeter it should be included, I don't need a lecture on how he's going to let it slide this one time.

I came here on a rainy Sunday around 11am, and there was a line out the door! I ordered the rose rooibos tea, a chocolate croissant, and a seasonal focaccia. I was happy to see plenty of seating available inside despite the long line. It seems like maybe people often order from here to-go or stop by from the yoga place next door. The ambiance was nice, and it was a good place to meet up with a friend for a light bite. I thought the quality of the chocolate croissant and focaccia was amazing! The tea was nice, as well. They had so many pastries that looked great and that I would like to try. I was surprised at the total cost coming out to about $17 since the tea was $4, so I probably should have paid closer attention to the pricing. I parked on the pay-by-phone street parking, some of which was on gravel/dirt along the side. There is bank parking across the street, but it was unclear which spots were for the bank and which were not (esp since it was a Sunday when it may be closed). I would like to come back and try more drinks and pastries that looked great!

Super cute bakery and coffee shop! They have so many delicious options ranging from salads, sandwiches, and baked goods! I came by myself so I wasn't able to try everything. I tried the toast with ricotta and jam and an iced latte. It was very yummy! The bread was so dense and fresh. The only downfall is this place is popular so it's super busy! I came on a Sunday at 12 and there was a line outside to order and no empty tables. I would like to go again during a weekday and see the difference.

Madruga is a super popular place in South Miami -- particularly with the post-yoga/workout crowd and students from nearby UM -- so prepare to wait in line to order. Mine and my bf's go-tos are usually the breakfast sandwich, monkey bread, guava danish, and an iced latte. I always tell myself I'll try other things on the menu, but that never happens :) It's a small cafe so if you plan to eat in make sure to grab an open table as soon as one opens up.
